Narnia in Singapore

Tiong Bahru is like one of the only places in Singapore that give me such a serene feel nowadays as I walk around, it is so quiet and peaceful, there's nice food around and I really hope reconstruction doesn't consume what's left of it.

On the way out of my house, I saw this interesting contrast on a trunk of the tree near my house.

And now onto Narnia proper, where every one of those doors feels like it will lead me to a new place altogether.

These doors remind me of The Adjustment Bureau, where Matt Damon just runs through so many of them that take him to different places through the substrata.

I saw some other things along the way too, like this ambulance that came to fetch an old lady on a stretcher. Waited until she loaded up before I got a photo, it would really not be very nice to take people in their frail moments without their permission I believe.

My favourite shot, reminding me of conversations between the different generations that no longer take place so prevalently in today's society, because either generation is no longer present. The old taken away by ill health and memory loss, and the young taken away by other commitments that they deem to be more important.

I personally love climbing up stairwells like these, gives me a great sense of adventure and anticipation.

A chair that once supported its owner ever so faithfully, now left by the roadside, forever alone.

Pipes, but I have no idea what they do.

I am going to hit the 200 photo limit on Flickr so I am running out of ideas as to places where I can host photos. Maybe I'll just create more accounts on Flickr but that is not very sustainable either. Would really appreciate it if people could suggest where else I could host more photos!
